Esther M Beebe, 94, a lifelong resident of Kalkaska, died Mon, Aug 14, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Chelsea.
Mrs. Beebe was born in Kalkaska County on Feb 28, 1906, the daughter of the late Darwin and Matilda Hagni Lewis. She married Ross Beebe in Kalkaska County on Sep 27, 1925. He preceded her in death on Jul 13, 1984.
Mrs. Beebe was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ and the Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, playing cribbage, and playing the piano and accordion.
Surviving are sons Lloyd (Sally) Beebe, Harold (Arlene) Beebe and Gerald (Sharon) Beebe, all of Kalkaska; daughters Elaine (Elwin) Hager of Williamsburg and Janet (John) Beard of Chelsea; brother, Melburn Lewis of Kalkaska; 24 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
Sisters Bertine Brown, Zelma Thornburg, and Elaine Barnes preceded her in death. Funeral services were Aug 17, at Kalkaska Church of Christ; E Dan Johnson officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Memorials may be made to the Kalkaska Church of Christ of Hospice.
