Mrs. David Seaman, 87, former resident ot Manistique, died at 2pm Thu at Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, where she had been a patient for two days.

Born on Apr 9, 1877, in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada, she came to the US as a young girl where her family was one of the first to settle on Drummond Island. She came to Manistique in 1917 and lived here until moving to Detroit about twenty years ago. She has been spending summers in Manistique and Sault Ste Marie areas.

Formerly, Estella Anderson, she was married to David Murray Seaman on Drummond Island, January 30, 1895. Her husband was the County highway commissioner and president of the Manistique School Board at the time of his death, Mar 31, 1930.

Mrs. Seaman is survived by three sons, Eugene of Escanaba; Russell of LaMesa, CA; and Dale of Everette, WA; three daughters, Mrs. George (Gertrude) Stephens, Manistique; Mrs. George (Genevieve) Barr, Sault Sainte Marie; And Mrs. Frank (Fae) Taylor, Detroit.

Also surviving are one brother, Dolph of Manistique, and a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Brock, Manistique, 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Messier-Broullire Funeral Home beginning at 2pm Sun. Services will be held Mon at 2pm from the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
