Mrs. William Gonyer passed away at the Lockwood hospital on Saturday, May 7, 1938. 

Emma Maxcine Pepper was born on June 6, 1920 at Flint. At the age of 13 years she moved to Fife Lake. She was united in marriage to William A. Gonyer on March 5, 1937. Since her marriage she has been residing with her husband on their farm four and one-half miles east of Fife Lake. 

While Mrs. Gonyer's greatest interest was in her home, she made many friends during her short residence near Fife Lake. 

Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her untimely death, her grandmother, four brothers, four sisters, two half brothers, to half sisters, an aunt and uncle and a host of friends. 

Rev. Wesley Oldt conducted the funeral services at the church in Springfield Wednesday morning.
