William Gonyer, 59, died Wednesday afternoon at Munson hospital following a short illness.
Mr. Gonyer was born at Turtle Lake, Benzie county, September 2, 1892, and when a young man moved to Flint, where he resided for 18 years. For the past 12 years he has resided at Fife Lake. On June 28, 1950, he was united in marriage to Winifred Puhek at Flint.
For the past four months he had been employed at Munson hospital.
Surviving are the widow, two brothers, Samuel and Fred Gonyer of Fife Lake, one sister, Mrs. Lula Timmins of Traverse City, and several nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to Weaver-Reynolds Funeral home and this afternoon was removed to the farm home in Springfield township, Kalkaska county, east of Fife Lake, where ethe Rosary will be said Friday night at 8:00 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 at St. Aloysius church at Fife Lake, Fr. Dominic Lengvinas officiating. Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery.
