Darlene Delaine Burgess, 82, of Fort Gratiot, and formerly of Avoca, passed away Fri, Jun 1, 2018, at home with her family by her side.
She was born on Sat, Sep 28, 1935, in Avoca the daughter of the late Samuel and Ruby (Robinson) Holsworth. She was united in marriage for 45 years to Lawrence Edwad Burgess on Sat, Dec 20, 1952. Lawrence passed away on Wed, mar 18, 1998.
Darlene enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and her flower gardens. She enjoyed her job as a nanny for Nithin and Neehal of Fort Gratiot.
Surviving are a son and daughter in law, Randall and Margaret Burgess, and two daughters and sons in law, Cynthia and Dennis Goodman and Tamara and Toby Martin; seven grandchildren, Rhiannon, Shane, Ryan, Megan, Jesse, Ashley, Willow, Adrianne, and Mariah; four great grandchildren, Anniston, Mia, Jace, and Blake; sister, Roberta Beversdorf and three brothers and two sisters in law, Jack and Carol Holsworth, Robert and Amelia Holsworth and Bud Holsworth and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by five siblings, Geneva, Samuel, Betty, Ken, and Alice.
