Van Wagoner, Charley - 1916 Dakota, age 63, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 1976 at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Groves and Co. Memorial Chapel, Garland and Third Ave., Rev. Jerry Bowling officiating. Internment in Millington Cemetery. Mr. Van Wagoner will lie in state at Groves & Co. Memorial Chapel. Mr. Van Wagoner was born in Millington, Michigan July 12, 1913, the son of Ceary and Laura Walker Van Wagoner and lived in Flint for the past 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II, and he retired from AC Spark Plug, November 1975. Surviving are: wife Zelphia, 4 daughters, Susan Meshigaud of Wilson, Patricia Taylor of Flint, Miss Christine Van Wagoner at home and Miss Lisa Van Wagoner at home; 2 step-sons, Louis Berry of Syracuse, New York and William Berry of Flint; 5 grandchildren; sister, Miss Ruth Van Wagoner of Wayne, Michigan; 2 brothers, Milo of Clio, and Everett of Millington; several nieces and nephews.
