Charles M. Westover Answers Final Summons

Resident 45 years of Butman Township.

Charles M. Westover died June 7, 1927 at his home in Butman township after an illness of about two years. He was born April 9, 1859 in Ontario, Canada, and came to this county 45years ago at the age of 16. He was married to Josephine Cunningham in November 1886. Mr. and Mrs. Westover settled on their farm in Butman township in 1894 where they have since made their home.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Percy Briggs of Rose City, Mrs. James Simpson, Mrs. Ben Remus and Mrs. Donald Stuck of Redford, Mich., and four sons, Charles Westover of Redford, Bruce Westover of Johannesburg, and Frank and Joe at home.

Mr. Westover was supervisor of his township for many years, and filled many local offices. For many years he was prominent in local affairs. Funeral services were held at the Bretheren in Christ church of Butman; June 9 conducted by Rev. Dean, followed by burial in Butman Cemetery.
