Blake I. Foster, 51, of Springfield, OH, when to be with the Lord on Sat, Apr 9, 2005 as the result of an industrial accident in Portland, OR. He was born Jul 22, 1953 in Middletown, OH, the son of Phil and Roberta (Magly) Foster and was raised in Orlando. Blake was a member of the North Hampton United Methodist Church of Christ. He loved to scuba dive and to take drives to watch the birds especially the hawks. One of his greatest loves was his employment which was as a security systems specialist with Forward Air Corp. Survivors include his loving spouse of 26 years as of March 26, Ann Davis Foster (a 1960 graduate of Springfield High School); one sister, Deborah Foster Wade of Coral Springs, FL; one brother, Dr. Scott Foster and spouse Dr. Barbara Gilley of Kansas City, MO; special aunt Dorothy Foster of Sidney, OH; special friends, Rob Lucas of Orlando, Rick Lawrence of Greenville, TN, Tim and Carol Helfrich of Springfield, OH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorial services will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the North Hampton United Church of Christ with Pastor Jim Welch officiating. A time of socializing and refreshment will be held immediately following the services.
