Betty Guitar, age 84 of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She was born on October 15, 1927 in Harbor Beach to the late Robert and Bernice (Brown) Jeffers. Betty and Alvin Guitar were united in marriage on March 24, 1947 in Harbor Beach. Alvin preceded her in death on June 3, 2007. Betty worked at the Harbor Beach Times for 30years.
Betty is survived by her children: Alvin Guitar Jr, of Detroit, and Mark Guitar of Canute, Oklahoma, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Maxine Leese. Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory of Bay City. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.
