Mrs. Bessie May Wallace, 63, died early Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Julia Griffin of Vicksburg, following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Wallace had lived most of her life at Fife Lake, except for the past 1 1/2 years which she spent at Vicksburg. She was born May 27, 1892, in Lansing, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Westcott. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Springfield township, Fife Lake.
Surviving are three sons, Lester Marvin, Clare Palmitier and Eugene Palmitier, all of Vicksburg; four daughters, Mrs. Julia Griffin and Mrs. Donna Jean Moyer of Vicksburg; Mrs. Alta Montart of Shelby and Mrs. Maude Nolff of Flint; one brother, Charles Westcott of Fife Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Ouderkirk of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Minnie Fisher of Traverse City; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Berg-Schwartz funeral home in Kalkaska, Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, with burial in Clark cemetery at Fife Lake.
