Beatrice Evelyn Parsons, 78, of Route 1, Fife Lake, died Monday, April 23, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. She was a retired licensed practical nurse. She had lived in Fife Lake since 1976 after moving from Ypsilanti. Prior to that she had lived in Dearborn. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dearborn and the North American Benefit Association Dearborn Review 93. She was born in Detroit May 16, 1900, the daughter of Thomas and Ann (Wheatley) McDonald. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Nicholas (June) Barber of Fife Lake; one sons, Lawrence of Dearborn; one brother, Stanley MacDonald, Hendersonville, NC; one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Loretta) Hanchett, Wyandotte; one step-brother, Willard McClellan, Detroit; two step-sisters, Mrs. Verdith Erickson, California; Mrs. Lee (Alvah) Pender, Caledonia; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 26 at 2 p.m. at the Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley, with the Rev. Gary Sweckard officiating. Burial was in Springfield Township Cemetery in Fife Lake.
