Barney E. Barber, 74, a lifelong resident of Rapid City, died Fri, Apr 28, 2000, in Antrim County. 

Barney was the founder, owner, and operator of Do-All Construction of Rapid City. 

He served with the U.S. Marines during WWII, and coached and played baseball and softball. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. 

He was born in Kalkaska County on Jan 3, 1926, the son of Forest and Gertrude Mosher Barber. 

He married Renie Dalton in Grand Rapids on Oct 18, 1946. She preceded him in death on Mar 30, 2000.

Surviving are son Tony (Sharon) Barber of Rapid City; daughters Dianne (Harold) Gentry of Rapid City, Marsha (Charles) Barber-Clark of Bellaire, and Terri (Matthew) Franzen of Grosse Pointe Park; and seven grandchildren. 

Funeral services were May 2 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Estel Clark will officiate. 

Burial was in Clearwater Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
