Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday from the Peters Funeral Home for Arthur Dorsey, 67, who died at his residence, 418 Lowrie St, on Sunday evening following an illness of several years duration.
The Rev. Harley Bailey will officiate and burial is to be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Born at Glen Lake on Jul 5, 1880, Mr. Dorsey had been a resident of Petoskey for the past 35 years. He was a member of the IOOF, Durand Lodge, No 344 F and AM, and the First Christian Church. He served as a deacon and an officer on the official church board.
Surviving are the widow, Alberta, two daughters, Mrs. Albert Osborne, of Petoskey; and Mrs. Charles Sanders of Detroit; one son, Harrison, of Petoskey; and three grandchildren.
The body is at Peters Funeral Home where friends may call.
