Alice Eady was born Sept. 27, 1864, at Petrolia, Canada, and departed this life July 23, 1940, at the home of her son, Ernest, at Lansing.
She was united in marriage to Oma Cunningham in 1882. To this union four children were born, Elmer of Canton, Ohio, Lillie of Buffalo, N.Y., Ernest of Lansing and Mrs. Iva McConnell of Houghton Lake. For the past ten years she made here home with her children since the death of her husband on March 8, 1930.
Mrs. Cunning ham was in apparently good health until Tuesday morning when she was stricken with a heart attack. On Sunday July 21, she attended the Eady reunion at the home of Mr. Thelma Rancour Gray at Howell.
She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was a good mother, neighbor and friend. To her the burdens of this earth are ended and we trust that like one who awakens from a troubled dream she has awakened to see life's endless morning break and know herself at home in the dearest of all places.
Surviving besides her children are, one brother, Will Eady, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Estes-Leadly Funeral Home in Lansing, Thursday, July 23 at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. John Blery officiating. Burial was beside her companion in life, in Clark Cemetery, at Springfield.
