Albert R. Cunningham, 84, of Springfield Township, Kalkaska County, R.1, Fife Lake, died Monday evening at Munson Medical Center after a lingering illness. He was born March 16, 1891, in Springfield Township, Kalkaska County to Lyman and Sophia Cunningham. On September 12, 1927, he was married to the former Anna Pitz. He was a life member of DAV and a former member of local veterans organizations. He saw service in Germany and France during World War I and received the purple heart. He was a farmer in the Fife Lake area. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Ruth in 1927; on son, Glade, in 1962; four sisters, Frances Perry, and Ruth in 1918, Mrs. Josephine Immon in 1959, and Mrs. Clara Gauld in 1974; and one brother, Harry, 1918. He is survived by his wife, Anna; two sons, Leith of Fife Lake and Marcel of Kalkaska; one sister, Mrs. Florence Wilson of Cedar Springs; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services were held June 5, 1975 at the Smith Funeral home, Kingsley, the Rev. Lewis Buchner officiating. 

Veteran graveside services were held at Clark Cemetery, Fife Lake.
