William R. Dill, 64, of Kalkaska, died Tue, Oct 19, 1993, at Traverse City Community Hospital.
Mr. Dill moved to Kalkaska County from Grandville in 1972. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Excelsior Church of Christ and the Kalkaska Lions Club. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Born in Terre Haute, IN on May 22, 1929, he was the son of James and Edith West Dill. On May 18, 1968, in Grand Rapids, he was united in marriage with Maureen Robinson who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two step sons, Randolph Brown and Lewis Brown both of Kalkaska; two step daughters, Doreen Oleszkiewicz of Jenison, and Susan Chmielewski of Kalkaska; his mother, Edith Dill of Kalkaska; and nine grandchildren.
One brother, James Dill, Jr, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Fri, Oct 22, 1993, at the Excelsior Church of Christ. Jeff Badgero officiated. Graveside services were held at Excelsior Township Cemetery under the auspices of Land O'Lakes Post 8684, VFW.
