William H. Snyder, 61, of Kalkaska died on Fri, Dec 17, 1993, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Snyder had been a resident of Kalkaska since 1987, moving from Belleville. He had a retired from Ford Motor Company, where he was employed in die casting and a hi-low operator. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was raised in Mancelona, and also, he had lived in Ypsilanti.
On Jun 14, 1932, in Mancelona he was born the son of Jesse and Sarah (Lambert) Snyder.
In Ypsilanti on Apr 23, 1984, he was married to Kristine Dunlap, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Toni Smith and her husband Arvil, Marcia Lee Shelton and her husband James, Lavinia Herbst, all of Belleville, Constance Snyder and Heidi Fitzgerald both at home; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Snyder of Parma; three sisters, Grace Wilkerson of Mancelona, Beatrice Long and Rosa Walls, both of Kalkaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, James Shelton, and Steven Snyder; one brother, Robert Snyder, and one sister, Stella Thorington.
Funeral services were held Sun, Dec 19, at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona with LeRoy Dimon officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
