William Arthur Nelson, 73, of Kalkaska passed away at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Monday, January 30.
Mr. Nelson was born July 25, 1887, in Springfield township to Robert and Mary Nelson, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on November 25, 1912, to Elmira Arnold Nelson who also preceded him in death in 1940.
Mr. Nelson moved to Kalkaska in 1941, where he lived on a farm on M-66.
Funeral services will be held at the Schwartz Funeral Home Thursday (today), February 2, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Frank Brower of the Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery, Springfield township.
Surviving are two sons: Arnold of South Carolina, and Gale A of Kalkaska; two brothers, Perl of Montana and Ralaigh of Rochester; two sisters, Olive Wolff of Fife Lake and Ella Riley of Kalkaska; and several nieces and nephews.
