William “Willy” Alva Rogers, Jr., 55, of Fife Lake, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at his home. He was born on November 16, 1958 in Flint to the late William Sr. and Ruthann (Edgley) Rogers. Willy was a hard worker who was known and loved for his quick wit and sense of humor. He loved his family dearly, especially his wonderful grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Deborah (Briesmeister) Rogers; children: Justin (Aviva) Ricketts, Cynthia (Thomas) Wyatt, Catherine (Josh) Rogers, Malynda Robinson, Joshua (Tiffy) Robinson, and Jason Downey; grandchildren: Carrie, Charlie, Bella, Brook, Max, and Gage; siblings: Tammy Werth, Joyce Rogers, Kim Bunton, Wendy Rogers, John Rogers, and Bob Rogers; aunts: Linda Schlosser, Ramona Mason, and Beverley Kitson; 26 nieces and nephews, and many friends and relatives. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 13th at Kalkaska Funeral Home, 152 S. Cedar St., Kalkaska. The funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. following visitation. Reverend Bryan McInerney will officiated the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
