Walter Charles Elwartowski

BIRTH: 19 Aug 1936 Milan, Washtenaw, Michigan

DEATH: 19 Jan 2016 Sun City, Maricopa, Arizona

Walter Charles Elwartowski, 79 years old, Sun City, AZ. Went to be with our beloved father on Tue, Jan 19, 2016. He passed away suddenly, at his home in Sun City, AZ.

Walt, Walter, Uncle Walt, Doc, was born Aug 19, 1936 in Milan, MI. The youngest of eight children. He quit high school to join the Air Force and after his tour was up, went back to high school. After graduating, he joined his brother Ray and went on to Palmer School of Chiropractic. While in Chiropractic school, he married Judy Campbell Elwartowski and over the years they had six children. He and Judy, although divorced, remained best friends to this day. He became a pioneer in the chiropractic profession, of which he was very passionate about. He practiced in Tecumseh, MI until 1980, when he sold his practice and moved to sunny Arizona. He loved to golf, so this allowed him to pursue both his passions, all year long. He retired from Chiropractic, but continued golfing, up until his passing. Walt was the happiest guy you would ever meet and didn’t know a stranger. He loved old cars, garage sales, finding a deal, selling things on eBay and his family. He loved playing golf, with his buddies, and made sure to keep his handicap high, so he wouldn’t have to buy hot dogs after the round. He was a quiet, sweet, jokester and you would never hear a cuss word out of his mouth. The term fiddle sticks was as bad as it got. He loved traveling to Texas to see his son and his family and spending August in the Midwest with his daughters. He always stayed just long enough to open presents on his birthday. Then it was back to Arizona to golf.

He is survived by Darlene Dutton (Greg), Nancy Cooper (Chuck), Kay Honesto (Armando), Delynne Elwartowski, Brian Elwartowski (Stacy), Chad Elwartowski, four grandsons, two granddaughters, many nieces, nephews and a legacy of family chiropractors. He is also survived by his dogs, Phantom, Lola, and good friend Barbara King.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna Elwartowski and daughter in law, Heidi Elwartowski.

A memorial service will be given 2 pm Sat, Jan 23, 2016.
