Wallace J. McCrindle, 86, of Rapid City, died Friday, March 30, 1990, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.
Mr. McCrindle had lived in he Rapid City area for the past 61 years. He was a retired mason, and had served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. California. He was a member of Brick Layers Local No. 40, and the Rapid City Church of Christ. He enjoyed rock collecting, fishing, and trapping.
Mr. McCrindle was born in St. Charles, MI on Jan. 11, 1904, to John and Harriett Powell McCrindle. He was married on Jan. 1, 1929, in Kalkaska County to Cecelia Lynn who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Wallace McCrindle of Rochester; three daughters, Harriett Krogel of Traverse City, Gayle Butters of Bronson, and Doreen LcGaff of Elk Rapids; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, April 4, 1990, at the Rapid City Church of Christ.
