Mrs. Violet Marie Moon, age 90, passed away Sun, Feb 7, 2016. She was born in Ferry Township, MI on Jan 4, 1926 to John & Nellie (Pickel) Baxter and married Eldon Moon on May 9, 1942. Mrs. Moon had been employed in the finishing and molding departments for Howmet for more than 30 years until retiring. Violet attended First Baptist Church in Lowell. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, gardening, feeding her birds, doing puzzles and cooking. Violet was known for her sense of humor and quick wit. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include children, Beverly (Lee) Taylor, Michael (Lucy) Moon, Donald Moon, and Timothy (Rita) Moon; 17 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers in law, and sisters in law. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon; children, Allen & Beulah and 11 siblings.
Service Thu, Feb 11, 2016, 10:30am at the Clock Chapel – Muskegon with Pastor David Bennett and Pastor Lee Taylor officiating. Interment in West Hesperia Cemetery. Visitation Wed, Feb 10, 2016, 4pm to 7pm at Clock Funeral Home – Muskegon.
