Vincent E. Roys, 32, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Aug 11, 1997, at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, IL.
Mr. Roys moved to Kalkaska from Manton in 1981. At the time of his death, he was employed by Gas Compression Services, and was affiliated with the New Life Assembly of God. He enjoyed auto racing.
He was born in Grand Rapids on Jun 20, 1965. On Oct 27, 1984, in Kalkaska, he married Lori Woodruff, who survives.
Also surviving are son Vincent II and daughter Lacey L, both at home; father and stepmother Richard and Carol Roys of Merritt; mother Rita Johnson of Manton; brothers Rich of Kalkaska, Jerome of Grand Rapids, and Troy of West Branch; sister Angie of Detroit; maternal grandmother Sophie Rodak of Florida; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services were held Aug 15, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Ken Doss officiated. Committal services were held at Butterfield Cemetery, Missaukee County.
