Vida L. Sprague, 82, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Nov 27, 1995, at Tendercare of Traverse City.
Mrs. Sprague moved to the Kalkaska and East Jordan area in 1928, from Byron. She was a member of the AARP, the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Auxiliary, and the Kalkaska County Historical Society. She enjoyed crafts and gardening.
Mrs. Sprague was born in Linden on Nov 27, 1913, to Oliver and Ida Runnels Grose.
Surviving are her daughter in law, Barbara Grose of Ellsworth; brother Harold Grose of Rapid City; sister Rachael Melling of Fruitport; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, Clifford Grose; brothers Orville, Russell, and Ernest Grose; and sisters Myrtle Saganek, Hazel Sprague, Luella Ramsey, and Arlene Walker, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Dec 1. at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
Rev. Robert Herbon officiated. Burial was in Sunset Hills Cemetery in East Jordan.
