Vera Lee Mason, 76, of South Boardman, passed away on Sun, Jan 25, 2009 at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. She was born Jan 22, 1933 in Muskegon, the daughter of the late Leon and Gladys (Fry) Wilcox.
Vera married Herschel R Mason on Dec 29, 1956 in Muskegon. They moved to South Boardman in 1962. Vera was a member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Churhc and a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, reading the Bible, and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Surviving Vera are her devoted husband of 52 years, Herschel; her loving children, Nora (Gene) Lueshen and Terry (Maryann) Johnson; and her dear brother, Ronnie (Judy) Wilcox.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, a precious baby and siblings, Kenneth Wilcox, Bernice Berry, and Donna Wilcox.
Visitation for Vera will be on Wed, Jan 28 from 5 to 7 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held Thu at the funeral home with Pastor William Kuiper of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Boardman Township Cemetery in the spring.
