Vera Fern Aldridge, of Flint, age 89, passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday, November 25, 2013 at KraNur Manor Assisted Living in Burton. Cremation has taken place.
Vera was born in Flint, MI on August 2, 1924 to Pansy and Wilbur Aldridge. She lived in Flint all of her life where she worked for 31 years at AC Spark Plug, retiring in 1974. She had many friends and cherished her friendship with Vera Nichols who remained in touch with her to the end.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Pansy and Wilbur, siblings, Wilbur C. (Tony) Aldridge, Forrest Aldridge, Theresa Aldridge Courts, and Maxine Aldridge Anderson. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. We want to thank the staff at Kra-Nur Manor for all of the care and compassion they heaped on Aunt Vera. She grew very fond of Carl and Robin who saw to her every need. We shall miss her sense of humor and directness, which she kept to the very end.
