V. Roseane Stoops, 42, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Feb 24, 1994 at Traverse City Community Hospital.
Mrs. Stoops had been a life long resident of the Kalkaska area, and she had attended Kalkaska High School. She enjoyed writing music and poetry and gardening.
She was born on Feb 26, 1951, in Bellaire to Orville and Eleanor Case Grose.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Stoops and his fiance Cindy Cole and Dan Stoops, both of Kalkaska; one daughter, Tanya Stoops at home; five brothers, Ernest (Phyllis) Grose, Ivan (Irene) Grose, and Daniel (Peggy) Grose all of Traverse City, James (Jane) Grose of Hillman, and Timothy Grose of Soledad, CA; four sisters, Esther (Leston) Brown of Charlevoix, Naomi Peterson of Traverse City, Mazie (Don) Elwood of Denver, CO, and Leah (Nelson) Kage of Oxford; one sister in law, Pauline Grose of Interlochen; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joseph.
Funeral services were held Sun, Feb 27, 1994 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. E. Dan Johnson, minister of the Kalkaska Church of Christ, officiated. Burial will be in Clearwater Township Cemetery in the Spring.
