Treva E. Bowerman, 65, of Kalkaska, passed away Mar 26, 2002 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Nov 13, 1936, in Kalkaska, the daughter of Clark and Ardis (Eckhardt) Seeley. 

Treva graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1953. She owned and operated Kalkaska Ford Sales from 1973 to 1986. At that time she was the only woman car dealer in Michigan. Treva was a past member of the Kalkaska School Board, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Commission on Aging and North Country Hospice. Treva received numerous awards from North Country Hospice including "Volunteer of the Year."

Treva was a member of Quality Thyme Garden Club and Kalkaska United Methodist Church. Through membership in Quality Thyme Garden Club she planted and cared for flowers and plants at the Chamber of Commerce office, the welcome signs on M-72 and US 131, and Kalkaska County Courthouse. She was a big supporter of KAIR and the Kaliseum. Treva contributed much time and energy in volunteering for various organizations and projects in Kalkaska County. Treva was also selected as this year's Grand Marshal for the 2002 National Trout Festival. Treva loved friends, family and lived life to the fullest. 

Treva is survived by her loving family including her children, Christy (Richard) Cotton of Grand Rapids; Douglas W (Lisa) Bowerman of Williamsburg; and Lisa (David) Kellman of West Palm Beach, FL; her mother Ardis Seeley , of Kalkaska; sisters, Dorena (Richard) Raudman and Linda (Kent) Sieting, all of Kalkaska; six grandchildren, Anna, John, Michaela, Dan, Bret, and Houston. 

Funeral services were held Mar 30 at Kalkaska United Methodist Church. Rev. Robert W Stark officiated. Intement was at Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska. 

Memorials may be given in behalf of Treva Bowerman to North Country Hospice and the Kaliseum.

Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
