Terry Nye of Kalkaska died Thu, Nov 23, 2006, at Munson Medical Center. He was 64.
He was born Sep 6, 1942, in Cadillac to Virgil & Evelyn (Lawton) Nye, grew up in Manton and graduated from Manton High School in 1960. He was a graduate of Western Michigan University and was employed at Total Oil Company in Alma for several years. He later lived and worked in Kansas, TX, and Romania before returning to northern Michigan and living in Manton and Kalkaska. He was employed as a purchasing agent for Petoskey Plastics for the last 14 years. Mr. Nye was an active member of the Kalkaska Lions Club, an avid outdoors man and loved animals and nature. He was a very proud grandparent and loved being with all his family.
He is survived by his children, Viki Miller of St Clair, Susan (Thomas) Sugar of Wheeler, Carrie (Chris) Pappas of Rockford, Rodney (Carla) Wiltse of Petoskey, aAlan (Holly) Wiltse of Sitka, AK; former son in law, Ronald Miller of St Clair; two brothers, Royce (Joan) Nye of Tucson, Ronald (Catherine) Nye of Aberdeen, MS, one sister, Ardath Delforge of Tucson; and 15 grandchildren including Molly, Jesse, Libby, Allie, Oliva, and Travis.
Funeral services wree held at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Manton on Tue, Nov 28 with Rev. Robert Lanning officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Manton.
