Terry L Nyland, 67, passed away at his home in Kalkaska on Tue, Jul 19, 2011. He was born Dec 9, 1943 in Holland, MI to Raymond and Josephine (Aalderink) Nyland. Terry married the former Patricia Dee Bouwman on Oct 7, 1967 in Holland, MI.
Terry was in the trucking industry for 40 years, first at Rooks Transfer and then Holland Motor Express. After his retirement in 2005 they moved to Kalkaska to be closer to their daughter Aimee. Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and snowmobiling. He was a member of the Kalkaska Snomobile Club and served as a trail groomer for them.
Terry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia; his daughter, Aimee (Mike) Argyle of Bellaire; his grandchildren, Greg, Daniel, and Grace Argyle; his mother Josephine Nyland; his sisters, Sharlene (Jarvis) Groenheide of Hamilton, MI and Zandra (Joe) Talley of Holland, MI; and in laws, Patricia Nyland of Julian, CA and Sandy Nyland of Holland, MI, Sunny and Ron Boeve of Holland, MI, Linda and Wayne Hamilton of Milton, FL, Jim and Sue Anne Bouwman of Holland, MI and several nieces and nephews along with his two devoted fur companions, Cindi and Maddie.
A private memorial service is planned.
