Dr. Steven Starr, 75, of Traverse City, formerly of Detroit passed away Jan 10, 2020 at his home at Glen Eagle.
Steven was born on Sep 13, 1944 in Detroit to the late Julius and Anne (Tkatch) Starr.
Steve was a podiatrist for over 25 years in the Detroit area.
He was a high level racquetball player. He enjoyed water sports and playing cards. He also liked to support Detroit sports teams.
He was a devoted member of Congregation Beth Shalom.
Above all else, he loved spending time with his family.
Steve was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Jerry.
Steve is survived by his son, Dr. Jay (Rachel) Starr; son Jared (Ali) Starr; grandchildren, Abraham, Jonah, Jackson, Charlie, Olivia, and Ari; and sister, Rita.
The service honoring his life will be held on Mon, Jan 13, 2020 at 1 pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will be sitting Shiva at 5555 Marquette Dr, in Traverse City on Mon evening.
