Steve Carl Krellwitz, 50, of Cedar, MI, was taken from us suddenly on Tue, May 8, 2007.
Steve was born on Jan 1, 1957, in Hancock, MI, to Arthur and Dolores Krellwitz. He grew up in Warren but his heart was in the UP. Steve went to college at Michigan Tech and became an Engineer. While attending College he met Bev Killman and they were married on Sep 21, 1985, in Traverse City, MI.
Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and his friends. He also enjoyed boating, water skiing, and tubing on the lake with his kids and all of their friends. He formed special bonds with his friends and family and was well respected. He had a personality that befriended almost everyone. Steve was devoted to spending time with his son Cody and daughter Jennifer, he was a wonderful father and a true role model for his two children.
Steve was employed as an engineer at Great Lakes Carbon Treatment Inc of Kalkaska. He will be sincerely missed by all of his co workers and the friends he made through work.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Killman; his children Cody and Jennifer; father, Arthur Krellwitz of Christmas, MI; his two sisters, Christine (Kevin) Lopez of Traverse City and Catherine Krellwitz of Warren, MI; sister in laws and brother in laws, Katherine (David) Handke of WI and Laura Killman of Copemish, MI; nieces and nephews, Christopher and Michelle Handke, Melissa and Sara Killman, Justin, Danielle, and Dylan Lopez of Traverse City; and his best friend Todd McCorkle of Traverse City.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother Dolores, his grandparents, and his brother in law, Forrest Killman.
Visitation for Steve took place on Mon, May 14, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held on Tue, May 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Traverse City. The Pastor Robert Zagore officiated the service.
