Stanley Leland Ball, 78, of Fife Lake, Bay City, and Standish, passed away Mar 29, 2002 at his home. A memorial service was held on Apr 2, at the Spencer Church of Christ with Pastor Mark McCool officiating. Burial was in Springfield Township Clark Cemetery in Fife Lake. 

Stan was born Jun 7, 1923 in Spencer, the son of the late Grover and Gladys (Wheeler) Ball. He served his country in Okinawa during WWII. He married Ruby M Battenfield on Apr 5, 1946 who survives him. Stan was retired from RWC in Bay City. Upon retirement, Stan and Ruby moved to Fife Lake where he enjoyed woodworking, and many hours working on the Triple F property. He was a member of the Walton Junction Sportsman's Club and the American Legion #0219. 

Besides his loving wife of 56 years, surviving are two children, four granddaughters and their spouses, and three great grandchildren. Kay and her husband, Bob Coggins, of Canton; their daughters, Melissa (Tim) Ellsworth of Northville; and Lori (Jim) Jacob, and their son Christian, of Canton; Richard and his wife Kathryn of Bay City; their daughters, Lisa (Scott) MacGregor and their daughter, Morgan of Bay City; Jennifer (Tom) Verellen, and their son, Zachary of Auburn.
