Mrs. Sophie E. Miron, 77, of Williamsburg, died Fri, Nov 3, 1995, at Leelanau Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Miron moved to Kalkaska County in 1975 from Farmington Hills. She was a member of Or Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Farmington Hills, and enjoyed sewing and fishing.
Born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on Aug 22, 1918, she was the daughter of Adam Mary Engel Kunset. On Feb 19, 1944, in Detroit, she was united in marriage with Joseph Miron who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Ron (Marla) of Omena; and one granddaughter, Mary Miron Baris of West Bloomfield.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Father Patrick J Barrett, pastor of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church officiated. Burial was in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery, Kalkaska County. The Rosary was recited Sunday at the Funeral Home.
