Mrs. Shelley L. Hardy, 40, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Dec 30, 1993 at Munson Medical Center.
She had been a resident of Kalkaska for the past 18 years after moving from Petoskey. She worked at the Mancelona Food Bank and at the time of her death, was employed by Dura Mechanical in Mancelona. She enjoyed arts and crafts, reading and camping.
She was born on Feb 2, 1953, in Boise, ID, to Jesse and Eulalee Bradley McKean. On Aug 20, 1977, in Kalkaska, she married Peter Hardy, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Tyler of Kalkaska; two daughters, Kelley of Kalkaska and Dominique, at home; her mother, Eulalee McKean of Benzonia; three brothers, Bradley McKean of Copemish, John McKean of Marquette and Peter McKean of Fort Worth, TX; two sister, Mrs. Ronald (Riley) Howes of Copemish and Mrs. Doug (Kelley) Verpootan of Waco, TX; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Mon, Jan 3, 1994 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Father Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Cremation followed the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
