Sheldon Marvin, 69, resident of Fife Lake, died Monday evening at the Boardman Valley hospital following a long illness. Mr. Marvin was born in Canton, Ohio, son of Thomas and Alice Marvin. The family located in this community in 1900. He was united in marriage to Bessie Westcott of Kalkaska county and to this union were born four children.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Julia Griffin of Vicksburg; Mrs. Alta Mulheart of Muskegon: Mrs. Donald Nolf of Fife Lake; a son, Lester Marvin of Vicksburg; a sister, Mrs. Hulda Thomas of Ohio, a brother, Thomas of Marvin of Grand Rapids; 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Methodist Church in Fife Lake. Burial will be made in the Spring Township Cemetery. The Rev. George Tennat of Bendon and the Rev. Mr. Hunt of Fife Lake will officiate. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 o'clock until time of services.
