Sharon Louise Albrecht, 78, of Lapeer, died Sat, Jun 8, 2019.
Sharon was born May 26, 1941 in Detroit, MI to Theogene and Florence (Jeffers) McKenna. She graduated from Cody High School (Detroit), Class of 1959. Sharon went on to earn her bachelor’s in teaching from Wayne State University. She taught many years in the St. Clair Community School District. Sharon also was real estate agent in the Lapeer area for many, many years. She enjoyed golf, woodworking and elephants (she loved elephants).
Sharon is survived by her brother, Dennis (Rose) McKenna of Florida; sister in law, Margie McKenna of Nevada; three nephews: Dennis Jr (Karin) McKenna of Ohio, Jimmy Jr (Gabby) McKenna of Nevada, and Casey McKenna of Nevada; great nephew, Trey McKenna and three great nieces: Laurel, Kenzie, and Oliva McKenna. Sharon was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents and her brother, Jim McKenna, Sr.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Fri, Jun 14, 2019 at the St. Paul Luthera Church, Lapeer. Sharon’s family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Friday morning. A private burial took place at the Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Gardens in Livonia where Sharon was interred next to her parents.
