Sharon L. Gilmore of Battle Creek formerly of Grand Ledge passed away January 26, 2019 in Kalamazoo surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 22, 1945 in Byron, Michigan to the late John and Lulu (Elston) Richardson. Sharon graduated from Eastern High School Class of 1963 and worked as an Administrative Assistant at Farm Bureau. She will be remembered for her amazing smile and adoration for her family. She had a special close relationship with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharon was the center rock for her family and was always looking for ways she could support and help those she loved most.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronald; children, Randy (Julie) Gilmore and Rhonda (Jeff) Fracassi; grandchildren, Caitlin (Chris) Hurban, Brittany (John) Chesney, Brandon Gilmore, Blake and Brielle Barber; great grandchildren, Ronan and Lennox Hurban; siblings, Rozanne (Robert) Doty, Jaqueline Taylor and Ronald (Judy) Richardson along with several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Sharon’s life will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Grand Ledge. Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, 20700 Civic Center Drive, Suite 100, Southfield, Michigan 48076.
