Sharon Irene Briggs, 60, of Mancelona, died Wed at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Born May 30, 1939 in Pontiac, she was the daughter of Carl and Frances (Brooking) Beatty. On Mar 16, 1957 in Pontiac, she married David A. Briggs.
Sharon was a wife and mother who dearly loved caring for her extended family.
She is survived by her husband David of Mancelona; two daughters, Lonna (Henry) Ramsby and Leann (Steven) Winoweicki both of Traverse City; two sons, David (Mary) Briggs, Jr. and Joseph Carl Briggs both of Traverse City; two sisters, Marie (Floyd) Robinson of Harrison and Clara (Dennis) Burling of Fair Play, SC; ten grandchildren, Kristina, Tammy, David III, Heather, Tyler, Mark, Joey, Hannah, Jason, and Miranda; and one great grandson, Alan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Rosetta Watson.
Friends may call from 4-8pm today at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home of Traverse City. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sat at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Ewing officiating. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
