Sarah C. Coutts, 80, of Fife Lake, died Sun, Jun 17, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Mrs. Coutts was born on Oct 12, 1931 in Detroit, MI to Ameen and Minnie (Stone) Shogry. She married Robert Coutts on November 10, 1948, and the couple has celebrated 63 years of marriage. They moved to Fife Lake in 1984 from Detroit.
Sarah co-owned Sarah's Antiques with her husband, which they operated out of their home for 14 years. She was a gifted artist among her many talents, and also enjoyed doing a variety of crafts, crossword puzzles, collected antique dolls, was an animal lover, and also a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob"; children, Robert (Angeline) of Harrison Township, Patricia (Brian) Wagner of Kalkaska, Douglas of Alden, Karen (Steve) Williams of Commerce Township, Janet Coutts of Traverse City, Thomas of Warren, and Sherry (Mark) Winstead of Mancelona. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Thu, Jun 21 at 11 am from the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home, 106 S. Cherry St, Kalkaska. Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Wed from 3 to 8pm and on Thu from 10 am until time of service. Interment will be in Garfield Township Cemetery.
