Mrs. Sara M. Anderson, 57, of Kalkaska, died Wednesday afternoon, Oct 31, 1990 at her home.
Mrs. Anderson spent her early life in Kalkaska, and then lived in several Michigan cities until returning to Kalkaska 12 years ago. She was formerly employed as a ward secretary at Munson Medical Center, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 8684.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Roscommon County on July 27, 1933 to Warren and Myrtle Stephen Vallad. She was married on Aug. 12, 1978, in Kalkaska to Eugene Anderson who survives.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, John Meredith of Kalkaska, David Meredith of Midland, William Meredith of Palm Springs, Calif., and Bryan Anderson of Greenville; one daughter, Valarie Reynolds of Phoenix, Ariz.; her mother Myrtle Vallad of Kalkaska; one brother, Ross Vallad of Kalkaska; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 3, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Richard Jones officiated. Cremation followed the services.
