Mrs. Ruth N. Armstrong, 95, of Wyoming, formerly of Kalkaska, died Sat, Jun 18, 1994, at Crestview Manor in Wyoming.
Mrs. Armstrong resided in Kalkaska until 1975, when she moved to the Grand Rapids area. She was a member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church.
Born in South Bend, IN on Oct 2, 1898, she was the daughter of George and Nellie Beck Gill. On Jan 11, 1919, in Kalkaska she was married to Orah Armstrong, who preceded her in death on Mar 6, 1970.
Surviving are three sons, Virgil Armstrong of Door, Larry Armstrong of Baldwin, and Norman Armstrong of Wyoming; two daughters, Deanna Shepardson of Wyoming; two sisters, Mary Kinnison of Tuscola County, and Elsie Dick of Burt; 15 grandchildren; and several great and great great grandchildren.
One brother, George, and five sisters, Myrtle, Hazel, Mina, Alice, and Irma, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tue, Jun 21, 1994, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Dean Collings, pastor of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
