Ruth I. Egeler, 50, of Kalkaska, died Wednesday, Oct 18, 1989, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. A resident of Kalkaska since 1979. she was the owner of Dingman's Tavern. She was a member of the VFW Post No. 8685 Auxiliary.
Born in Coldsprings Township on Oct 10, 1939, she was the daughter of Ishmael and Frances Watson.
Surviving are a son, Alan H Fritz and a daughter, Rebecca Sue Fritz, both of Kalkaska; her mother, Frances Watson of Cadillac; a brother, Darrel C. Watson of Highland Park, IL; and two sisters, Mary H. Watson of Traverse City and Beatrice J. Hodge of Cadillac.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ishmael Watson; and a brother.
Services were held Saturday, Oct 21, at the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes. The Rev. Donald Spachman will officiated. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Empire.
