Ruth I Kniss, 80, of Kalkaska, passed away Oct 14, 2001, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Clare on Jan 12, 1921, to Henry and Ila (Sieting) Six.
Ruth married Boyd C. Kniss on May 22, 1939. He survives.
She is also survived by sons Lyle Kniss of Kalkaska, Milton (Christine) Kniss of Bellaire, Richard (Christine) Kniss of Niles; daughter Ila (Christopher) Rosselit of Niles; six grandchildren; one great grandson; brother Leo (Sharon) Six of Niles; sisters, Beatrice Campbell of Kalkaska, Vada Bloom of Oscoda and Zora Belcher of Arizona.
Ruth was predeceased by her brother, Arlo F Six, in 1945.
The funeral service was held on Oct 17 with Pastor David L McCool officiating. Interment was at Oliver Township Cemetery.
