Ruth D. Church, 94, of South Boardman, passed away peacefully on Jul 31, 2006, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center, LTC.
She was born on Aug 22, 1911, in Detroit, the daughter of the late William Vallance and Martha Main.
Ruth married Robert Church in 1934 and he preceded her in death. Ruth attended the John E Willow School of Arts in Detroit. She was a member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church. She was also a Girl Scout leader and worked as a volunteer at the Kalkaska County Museum.
Surviving Ruth is her daughter, Kathy (Richard) Pawson of Sparta; grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, and Mandy; cousins, Harold and Sue Knisley of Orchard Lake, and Arthur and Jerie Fritz of MI.
The memorial services will be on Fri, Aug 4, at 11 am at the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church, with Pastor William Kuiper officiating.
