Russell Grant Gooden died suddenly on Sunday, November 18, 2012, while on a hunting trip in northern Idaho.
He was a loving husband to Sue Gooden and proud father of five children, Lorie Lindeman of Manistee, Russell Gooden of South Boardman, Kiddy Gooden of Fife Lake, and Raymond Gooden also of Fife Lake.
He was preceded in death by son, Tate Mathew Gooden.
Russell was the son of the late Raymond and Della Gooden. He was a longtime resident of Fife lake and attended Manton schools. He enjoyed basketball, bowling and was a softball player in his earlier years. His most loved hobbies were hunting, fishing, and sporting clays. Russell was a Class AA shooter and received many awards, trophies and plaques during his years shooting.
He is also survived by sisters, Donna Cox, of Lansing and Joyce LaBelle, of Onaway; a niece, Dana Cox, and nephews, David Cox and Larry LaBelle. Also surviving Russell are 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Gordy’s Place in Fife Lake.
