Rozella I Sewell, passed away Sat, Jul 21, 2012 at Lakeview Manor in Cadillac. She was 91 years old.
Rozella was born in Lyman Township, Ford County, IL, on Nov 28, 1920 to Henry and Ethel Lora (Nichols) Rath and they preceded her in death. She married Edwin Sewell on Mar 19, 1943 in Owosso, MI and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1989.
Mrs. Sewell lived in Owosso until 1950, at which time she moved to Hoxeyville, where she lived until 1959 when she moved to Ada, MI. In 1966, she moved back to Cadillac, where she and her husband had their own drilling business. Rozella enjoyed knitting, crocheting beautiful doilies in her spare time and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Eileen (Dewayne) Richard and Bruce (Shirley) Sewell, all of Cadillac; seven grandchildren, Lora (Jeff) Gentry, Douglas (AmMith) Richard, Karen (Rob) Kendziorski, Steven (Jennifer) Sewell, Melissa (Calvin) Braun, Paul Sewell, Shelly (Corey) Hughes; nine great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Etheleen Neaubaum, and a grandson at birth.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Thu, Jul 26, 2012, at the United Methodist Church in Cadillac, with Parish Assistant Judy Coffey officiating. Burial will be at Cherry Grove Township Cemetery in Wexford County.
