Roy R. Bentley of Kingston died August 11, 1955 at Pleasant Home Hospital in Cass City. Mr. Bentley was born April 16, 1900 in Lapeer County, the son of Frank and Lilla Swain Bentley. He was united in marriage to Hazel Gilmore, August 28, 1922 at North Branch. Mr. Bentley worked most of his life as factory laborer and auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife.
Surviving are one daughter, Vivian, three sisters, Mrs. Mahlon Morris of Davisburg, Mrs. Louis McCellan of Ann Arbor, and Mrs. Carl M. Koehler of Royal Oak; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 13 from Blackmore and Tubbs Chapel. The Reverend Norman Geisler of the Dayton Center Church officiated, assisted by the Reverend Wilbur Traver of Kingston. Burial was in Dayton Center Cemetery.
