Roland L. Riley, age 81 of Millington, died Wed, Feb 4, 2015 at his residence. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in his honor at 2pm on Sat, Feb 7,2015 at the Mumford Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Bruce Malicoat officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sat, Feb 7, 2015 from 11:00am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Home Town Hospice-Lapeer, 1681 Woodbridge Park Avenue, Lapeer, MI 48446 or West Forest United Methodist church, 7297 E. Farrand Rd, Millington, MI 48746.
Roland was born on Jan 17, 1934 to Arthur and Essie Riley. He married Marilyn on Jul 9, 1955 at the Otisville Methodist Church.
Roland was a member of the Brick Layers Union and loved gardening and mowing the lawn.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn; children: Sheryl Johnson, Steven (Dora) Riley, and Susan (Raleigh) Cooper; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and a sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kayla; son-in-law, Kevin Johnson; and a sister.
