Robert Thompson, 88, of Kalkaska, died Sunday evening, Jan. 14, 1990, at Meadows of Grayling.
Mr. Thompson had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska. His grandfather, Charles Thompson, was an early settler and lumberman in the Kalkaska area. Robert was a retired landscaper and laborer, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing the fiddle. He was a member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church.
He was born in Kalkaska County on July 4, 1901, to Charles E. and Avis Bunker Thompson.
Surviving are one nephew, Clinton McKellar of Owosso.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan 18, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Richard Jones, pastor of the Evergreen Bible Baptist church, officiated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
